Welcome From Lynn Kulik, Educational Director
Dear Families,
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Cooper School. Many years ago, I walked through the doors at 176 Cooper Avenue while searching for a school for my own child - and I knew immediately that I had found something special.
Inspired by the schools of Reggio Emilia, Italy, we believe that each child is a unique and capable individual with a natural curiosity and desire to learn. We honor children’s voices, ideas, and creative expression, and we thoughtfully nurture their enthusiasm for discovery.
With more than twenty years of experience in education, I am proud of our developmentally appropriate program that supports the whole child - socially, emotionally, physically, and academically.
At the Cooper School, we value strong partnerships with families. Open communication, mutual trust, and shared values are the foundation of our community, and we are honored to walk alongside you during these important early years of your child’s life.
I invite you to visit us in person and experience the warmth and vibrancy of our school community. We look forward to welcoming your family.
Warmly,
Lynn Kulik
“Learning and teaching should not stand on opposite banks and just watch the river flow by; instead, they should embark together on a journey down the water. Through an active, reciprocal exchange, teaching can strengthen learning and how to learn.”
- Loris Malaguzzi, The Hundred Languages of Children: The Reggio Emilia Approach.
